Grimmenstein (AT)

The Grimmenstein facility was originally founded in 1879 by Hermann Walli as a wood-grinding mill and was later converted to produce cardboard packaging. Production of cellulose wadding products began in the mid-1930s, establishing the company as a knowledgeable partner.

At the end of the 1980s, the site was acquired by Paul Hartmann AG Heidenheim, leading to numerous investments to improve performance and competitiveness. On 1 April 2015, Profümed took over the business, which has since operated as Profümed GmbH.

The production site currently has two paper machines for its own raw material supply, a production line for cellulose underpads, a cleanroom area for manufacturing swabs and various other facilities for processing medical cellulose products. Around 70 employees work here under Managing Director Herbert Baumgartner.
